Accidents
- If you are in an accident, and are suspected of a DUI or DWI for either alcohol or drugs, the Police are obligated to make an arrest even if you are not at fault for the accident, and you WILL be prosecuted
- Even if someone crashes into you because they weren’t paying attention, if you have been drinking or have taken drugs, you will be arrested
- Should the test result in positive findings for drugs and/or alcohol in the event of a fatality, you will likely be prosecuted for homicide to some degree, regardless of personal fault
- Early intervention by a FORMER PROSECUTOR can make the difference between a homicide or a DUI/DWI charge
