Treatment Programs

In many cases the court may order you to attend a treatment program as part of your sentence. This is often a condition of probation

  • You may also be able to regain some driving privileges as a result of successful course completion
  • Often there will be a referral process prior to a decision on the course of treatment
  • This assessment is used by the court to determine the risk of future offenses
  • The court then recommends an appropriate level of treatment based on the results of said assessment
  • You will be responsible for all fees associated with assessment and treatment
  • Should a lengthy course of treatment be mandated, the costs involved could be substantial
